The chamber contains the compressor section of the integrated air-to-air heat pump.
The chamber includes a hermetic scroll compressor, or compressors, a refrigerant circuit with accessories (expansion valve, filter drier, service valves, pressure and temperature sensors) and the necessary electrical and measurement and regulation components for controlling heat pump operation.
The chamber is factory-fitted with a fully connected refrigerant circuit, pressure-tested, charged with the prescribed amount of refrigerant according to the unit type and marked on the label (R410A / R407C / R454C).
The electrical connection of the compressor and additional components is carried out according to the project documentation and the diagram of the measurement and regulation system.
The compressor chamber must be installed in accordance with the instructions given in the chapter “General Assembly Instructions” and in accordance with ČSN EN 378 – Refrigerating systems and heat pumps – Safety and environmental requirements.
The electrical and control wiring of the heat pump system is controlled by the measurement and regulation system installed by MANDÍK, a.s. Wiring and settings are described in detail in the documentation “Installation and Operation Manual for the Measurement and Regulation System”.
If the measurement and regulation switchboard is supplied separately (outside the unit), the correct interconnection of the cabling must be ensured according to the enclosed wiring diagram and the manufacturer’s instructions.
All work on the refrigerant circuit may only be carried out by a person holding valid authorisation to work with fluorinated greenhouse gases.
Cable glands for power and signal conductors are located on the side of the chamber; their position is indicated in the technical documentation of the unit.
Access to the compressor, fittings and measuring elements is possible after removing the service panel.

*Enter the value only if it is necessary to measure a quantity.
During initial start-up, the following in particular shall be checked:
Heat pump compressor chamber:
• Correct direction of compressor rotation (for three-phase versions).
• Supply voltage value within a tolerance of ±5%.
• Correct refrigerant pressure in the circuit, suction and discharge pressure and temperature according to the refrigerant type.
• Function of protective elements (HP/LP pressure switches, temperature sensors, current protection).
• Communication of the measurement and regulation controller and evaluation of all inputs/sensors.
• Visual leak check of the refrigerant circuit during operation.
• Check of noise level, vibration and compressor fastening.
• Measurement of compressor current consumption – it must not exceed the nameplate data.
Detailed operating instructions and maintenance and service procedures are given in the following paragraphs and also for the individual parts of the unit.
Before any maintenance tasks are performed, the compressor must be disconnected from the power supply and secured against accidental start-up. Moving parts of the compressor must never be handled while it is running!
Work on the refrigerant circuit may only be carried out by a qualified person.
When working with refrigerant, observe the safety instructions specified in the safety data sheet of the relevant medium.
Check the condition of the compressor, fastening of the refrigerant circuit, functionality of all fittings and connection of the measurement and regulation system.
Remove contamination from the refrigerant circuit and the chamber using a dry cloth, vacuum cleaner or dry compressed air. Never use chemicals or liquids that could damage the surface or the piping seals.
Check the condition of electrical connections, terminals, cables and upstream devices. Tighten any loose connections and replace damaged conductors.
Check the function of protective elements – HP/LP pressure switches, temperature sensors and current protection.
Regularly check the evaporator defrost function and condensate drain from the evaporator, and clean any blockages.
Also check the noise level, vibration, voltage and compressor current consumption.
Record all measured values and resolve any deviations according to the manufacturer’s service instructions.
