Any intervention in the electrical switchboard or connection of the supplied components may only be carried out by a person with the required professional qualification in accordance with the applicable regulations of the country in which the unit is put into service!
The individual components of the unit are normally already electrically connected at the factory to the controller terminals and tested (fans, sensors, actuators, thermostats, pressure switches, electric heater, …).
Only the supplied peripherals have to be connected additionally (POL822 remote controller, Touch Panel, CO2 sensor, duct temperature sensor, control assembly, etc.). All wiring diagrams are included in the supplied project documentation of the unit, “Measurement and Regulation of the MANDÍK KJ”.
The main supply of the unit is normally provided by an installed plug located immediately next to the main switch. The plug type is specified in the technical specification of the unit; the installation method is shown in the following figure.
If the unit is not fitted at the factory with a plug for the main supply and the main power supply has to be connected separately, use the prepared screw cable gland located next to the main switch.
A: MAIN SUPPLY
B: MAIN SWITCH
For connecting the supplied peripherals to the terminal block, use the prepared screw cable glands located immediately next to the main switch.
The main power supply connection for the version with a water heater is shown in the diagram in Appendix D.
The main power supply connection for the version with an electric heater is shown in the diagram in Appendix E.
The connection of the peripherals – CO2 sensor, POL822 remote controller and external supply-air temperature sensor – is shown in the diagram in Appendix F.
The CPV unit is normally equipped with a main electrical switch which allows safe disconnection from the electrical power supply. The main electrical switch is part of the unit; it is clearly identifiable and easily accessible to the operator and service personnel.
The design of the main electrical switch depends on the selected unit delivery version:
• For a unit with an external switchboard supplied by the manufacturer, the main electrical switch is part of this switchboard.
• For a unit with a switchboard built into the unit, the main electrical switch is part of this switchboard.
• For a unit supplied without a measurement and regulation system (without a switchboard), the main electrical switch is not included in the unit delivery. In such a case, the operator, or the professionally competent installation company carrying out the electrical connection of the unit, is responsible for the design, installation, location, accessibility and marking of the main electrical switch.
The electrical connection of the unit, verification of the correct function of the main electrical switch and its marking may only be carried out by a person with the appropriate electrical qualification in accordance with the applicable legal regulations, project documentation and technical specification of the specific unit.
Before starting any work on the unit, especially before service intervention, cleaning, maintenance, inspection of the electrical equipment or intervention in moving parts, the unit must be safely disconnected from the electrical power supply by means of the main electrical switch. If unintended or unauthorised switching on could occur, the disconnecting device must be secured against being switched on again.
Before starting service, maintenance, cleaning or operating activities during which contact with electrical equipment, moving parts of the unit or other hazardous parts may occur, the unit must be safely shut down and disconnected from the electrical power supply.
Recommended procedure:
After the work has been completed, before the unit is put back into operation, it must be checked that all service doors and covers are closed, the safety elements are functional, no persons, tools or foreign objects remain inside the unit, and the unit is in a condition allowing safe operation.
