The unit may be put into trial operation only after all previous points have been fulfilled (assembly and installation, tasks before initial start-up, …).
During initial start-up of the unit, the following must be checked:
The fan must not be started with shut-off or regulating dampers closed. Pressure surges occurring during functional tests of fire dampers or other dampers with a short changeover time to the closed position must be avoided.
The first trial start-up of the unit should not exceed 30 min. The unit and all its sections must then be fully checked again.
After the first commissioning, all inlet filters must be cleaned or, if necessary, replaced with new ones.
1 - Connecting the power supply - plugging the supply cable into the socket
2 - Switching the unit on with the service switch – by turning it to position “1”
3 - Starting the unit:
– see appendix QUICK START OF THE UNIT - WEB/HMI POL871 CONTROLLER
– see appendix QUICK START OF THE UNIT - POL822 CONTROLLER
4 - Balancing the air flow rates – see chapter FAN
5 - Setting the time schedule – according to the manual:
“Detailed Manual for the Operation and Commissioning of the Climatix System”, available here
During initial start-up, the following in particular is checked:
During the check, proceed exclusively according to the sections describing the chambers and built-in components actually installed in your unit.
Unit in general:
• Whether any inappropriate mechanical noises can be heard
• Check for excessive vibration of the unit
• Tightness of joints between the individual chambers and tightness of all additional
penetrations made through the unit casing
• All dampers on the end walls of the unit are open
Fans:
• Measurement of the electric motor current consumption — it must not exceed the nameplate
data
Water heat exchangers (heater/cooler):
• Tightness of the hydraulic system connection to the heat exchanger
• Correct function of the condensate drain siphon (height, filled with water)
Refrigerant heat exchangers (evaporator/condenser):
• Tightness of the refrigerant circuit
• Check of circuit parameter values (pressures, temperatures) in the individual
sections (high-pressure side, low-pressure side)
• Check of the functionality of the individual circuit elements (compressor, expansion
valve, condenser unit fan, ...)
• Measurement of the compressor current consumption -- it must not exceed the nameplate data
• Check of the refrigerant condition
• Correct function of the condensate drain siphon (height, filled with water)
Electric heater:
• The air flow velocity must not fall below 1 m/s.
• Measurement of current consumption at all power stages on all phases
-- it must not exceed the nameplate data
Plate heat recovery exchanger:
• Correct function of the condensate drain siphon (height, filled with water)
• Correct direction of rotation of the by-pass/mixing damper or switching of the actuator selector switch – see paragraph 5.28 INSTALLATION OF ACTUATORS
Damper chamber and end walls:
• Correct direction of rotation of the dampers or switching of the actuator selector switch – see paragraph 5.28 INSTALLATION OF ACTUATORS
