On the label of three-phase motors, the rated voltage and required connection are always indicated, e.g., 230V. This means that 230V may be connected to each phase winding. If this motor is connected to a 400-volt network, its windings must be connected in star (see table). When connected in star, the phase voltage is therefore 400 V: = 230V.
