¶ Installation instructions for the plate heat recovery exchanger chamber in “one-rivet” design
The “one-rivet” design is intended to make installation easier for the customer in a building with restricted access. This is a chamber delivered in an incompletely assembled condition. Various riveted and screwed joints, as well as sealing with sealant, are not completed at factory delivery (they are only prepared). Foam and rubber seals are glued in place wherever possible. Only the rivets and screws necessary for transport are installed in order to speed up and simplify disassembly on site.
In the event of complete disassembly of the floor and cover panel into individual parts, we recommend ordering an assembly supervisor from the service department of MANDÍK, a.s. sufficiently in advance for the assembly work.
Disassembly and assembly of the floor and ceiling panels are not part of these instructions.
¶ Disassembly
Before and during disassembly of the chamber, we recommend clearly marking all sheet-metal parts and photographing their installation position, which will greatly facilitate their identification and precise positioning during assembly. We also recommend fully marking the front and rear sides, including orientation, so that the corresponding hole pattern between the floor and wall panels can be clearly identified.
Rivets and screws intended for disassembly are clearly marked with colour and an arrow; these must be drilled out using a drill bit with a diameter of 4.2 mm or removed. Where there is no marking, no connection planned by MANDÍK needs to be released. The scope and extent of disassembly depend on the specific situation and are at the discretion of the installation company.

¶ Note
For surfaces with a surface finish (e.g. painted sheet metal), the supplied chemical activator must be used before sealing to ensure better adhesion. The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil, dust and dirt. Read the instructions before application. Protective equipment must be used.

¶ Assembly
All rivets, screws, sheet-metal parts, sealants and seals required for assembling the chamber are included in the delivery in sufficient quantity.
Tools are not included in the delivery. The required tools are rivet pliers and a Phillips screwdriver.
All sheet-metal-to-sheet-metal joints are sealed with sealant during assembly. Moving parts, such as doors, the plate heat exchanger block or the bypass damper, are factory-fitted with sealing strips and are therefore not intended to be additionally sealed with sealant.
- Place the floor panel with the installed base frame on the floor or on a solid supporting structure.
Also seal the outer edge with sealant, as well as the space between the two parts, on both the upper and lower holder.
Seal the contact surfaces.
Seal the contact surfaces with the same sealant as on the outer wall.
