The units may only be installed by an authorised person. The person carrying out the installation must comply with the technical and legal regulations applicable in the given country, e.g. ČSN EN 45004, Act No. 174/1968 Coll.
The connection and earthing of the electrical equipment, electric motor and all electrical wiring must comply in particular with ČSN 33 2190, ČSN 33 2000-4-41, ČSN 33 2000-5-51, ČSN 33 2000-5-54, the applicable regulations and the given environment with regard to safe operation.
The unit and its accessories may be put into operation only by an authorised and trained specialist technician who is familiar with the equipment and with the hazards associated with it.
Before installing the unit, it is necessary to check the building readiness, the parameters of the power supply system, the temperature and pressure of the cooling media (and, for KJM units, also the heating media), and the completeness and condition of all parts of the unit.
Any defects must be removed before installation.
The unit and its accessories must only be connected to a mains voltage of 230 V / 400 V, 50 Hz.
Access must be provided to the distribution cabinet to which the assemblies are connected. In the distribution cabinet, the power elements (circuit breakers, contactors, switches, etc.) must be clearly marked with the equipment number according to the HVAC project documentation.
During operator training, we recommend the presence of a representative of the installation company and the user.
Protective gloves are recommended during installation and handling of the unit.
During handling and lifting, the unit chambers must be transported only using forklift trucks or transport straps, and the relevant safety provisions must be observed. The unit must not be transported above persons! See the chapter Handling.
Before installation, all supports and reinforcements supplied with the unit for transport purposes must be removed.
The unit cannot take over any building functions, such as the static load of the building and its related elements, serve for the operation of the unit, or be used for the placement of walkways, electrical wiring routes, electrical switchboards, etc., except for cases previously consulted with Mandík, a. s.
Failure to comply with this requirement shall void the warranty provided by Mandík, a. s.!
The total fan pressure is dimensioned for the designed external pressure losses upstream and downstream of the fan; see the technical specification of the unit. The installation of the air ductwork must therefore be carried out without additional local pressure losses, which may, after balancing, cause a higher fan operating point and thus also a higher electrical power input of the electric motors.
Access to the unit in outdoor installation
In the case of outdoor installation of the unit, for example when located on a roof, platform, steel structure or other outdoor site, safe access to the unit must be ensured for operation, inspection, service and maintenance.
The operator, the building owner, or the person or organisation responsible for the construction part of the installation is responsible for the design, execution and maintenance of a safe access route to the unit. The access route must be easily accessible, safe, sufficiently wide, stable, non-slip and suitable for the movement of persons performing operating, inspection, service or maintenance activities.
The access route and the working area at the unit must be sufficiently illuminated so that operation, inspection, service and maintenance of the unit can be carried out safely. The lighting must allow safe movement of persons, reading of markings and warning labels, operation of switches and control elements, and safe performance of routine service and maintenance tasks.
For units installed at height or in places where there is a risk of persons falling, appropriate fall protection must be provided, such as guardrails, safety anchor points, walkways, platforms or other suitable technical and organisational measures according to the conditions of the specific installation and the applicable legal regulations.
The unit must not be operated in a manner that would require operation, service or maintenance to be carried out from a dangerous, unstable, insufficiently illuminated or otherwise unsuitable location.
